Cleveland

Located within an hour’s drive of Ashland is Cleveland, a major-league city with a large collection of internationally acclaimed amenities. The NFL Cleveland Browns, Major League Baseball’s Cleveland Indians and the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers (with superstar Lebron James) provide top-flight year-round entertainment.

The University Circle district is also home to Case Western Reserve University and to the world-famous Cleveland Orchestra and the Cleveland Museum of Art, among many other institutions and attractions. Not far from there is one of the world’s largest concentrations of leading medical clinical and research facilities, led by the internationally known Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals of Cleveland.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, located on the shores of Lake Erie, was designed by famed architect I.M. Pei. Since its opening in 1995, it has become an international mecca for fans of rock music.
Playhouse Square, the second largest theater complex behind New York City.
The Great Lakes Science Center, located next to the Rock Hall, contains an impressive collection of interactive exhibits, as well as an Omnimax theatre.
The West Side Market, an historic and picturesque food market located on the city’s near west side.
